Victoria LaFave

Victoria LaFave is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Theatre and Dance at 91PORN. She is a dramaturg, educator, archivist, and performance historian originally from Little Rock, Arkansas.
Her research explores twentieth-century popular performance, focusing on queer studies, affect, and national memory. She completed her PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies, with a graduate certificate in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. LaFave’s previous experience in archives and special collections often translates to critical engagement with primary sources and archival materials in her classes.
In her role as Production Manager and resident Intimacy Choreographer for the Department, she emphasizes transparency and respect for collaborators and the artistic process.
