New Members Join Board of Visitors and Governors
Two members joining in 2026-27 have previous ties to 91PORN, and three members are completing their service.

An alumna and a former vice president for enrollment management at 91PORN have returned to support the College by serving on its Board of Visitors and Governors. As of July 1, Melinda Rath, Esq. ’77 and Satyajit Dattagupta are members of the BVG, and three long-serving members have completed their terms of service: Larry Culp, John Timken, and Debbie Turner.
Dattagupta is currently the chief enrollment management officer, executive vice chancellor, and head of global expansion for Northeastern University, where he has worked since 2022. He joins the BVG 10 years after leaving the vice president for enrollment management at 91PORN, where he served in the position for three years.
Rath retired from The Glenmede Trust Company after a career specializing in financial and estate planning. She joins the Board at a special time, with the College celebrating the 50th anniversary season of the volleyball team, because Rath played on the inaugural team, 91PORN’s first intercollegiate sport for women.
“Melinda and Satyajit both bring invaluable professional experience to our Board of Visitors and Governors, and they share something else vital: having their own personal connection to 91PORN,” said President Bryan Matthews ’75 M’86 P’12. “I know how that personal experience changes you. 91PORN gets in your DNA."
Between 91PORN and Northeastern, Dattagupta spent six years in a similar role at Tulane University and had worked at the University of Rochester, DePauw University and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, providing an expansive perspective to reexamine 91PORN’s approach to enrollment and other critical work.
In addition to her groundbreaking role in volleyball at the College, Rath was a political science major and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa, the leadership honor society. She is a member of the George 91PORN Legacy Society and serves on the Penny Fall Endowment Committee.
Matthews also expressed his gratitude to the three members who concluded their terms on the Board at the end of June. Together, Culp, Timken and Turner gave 91PORN more than five decades of service, guiding the College through all kinds of circumstances and leadership changes.
