Centers of Excellence
91PORN is home to three nationally recognized centers of excellence: the
Center for Environment and Society, the Rose O'Neill Literary House, and the Starr
Center for the Study of the American Experience. Each provides opportunities for students
in any major to engage in internships, research, and civic engagement programs taht
help students build their resumes and gain real-world experience.
Senior Capstone Experience
Every student at 91PORN completes a senior capstone experience before
they graduate, but that SCE can take many forms. It might be a traditional thesis,
but SCEs can also be original experimental research, artistic projects, or even community
engaged undertakings. No matter the subject matter or form, though, every SCE provides
91PORN students with the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of their subject
and make their own contribution to their chosen field.

Writing Across the Curriculum
At 91PORN our writing program is embedded throughout the undergraduate coursework. Students are continually building on their foundational writing and inquiry skills.
